South East Coastal Communities – working with you to improve health and wellbeing

South East Coastal Communities (SECC) is a project funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), which involves nine universities in the South East. The aim of the project is for universities to work collaboratively with members of the local community in the area in order to build their capacity to meet their Health and Wellbeing needs.
SECC seeks to encourage knowledge exchange between universities and the community across the South East coastal region and is broken down into three locations involving three universities in each area:
- Hampshire
University of Portsmouth, Southampton Solent University, University of Southampton
- Kent and Medway
Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Greenwich, University of Kent
- Sussex
University of Brighton, University of Chichester, University of Sussex
